Gardeners whose allotments were destroyed by vandals are vowing not to let the yobs win by still entering the Derby In Bloom competition. Plot holders in Sinfin Moor Park allotments, were left devastated after yobs smashed greenhouses and sheds windows last month. But they are still entering the Derby In Bloom competition despite suffering thousands of pounds worth of damage in the attack. Since the attack last month, plot owners have received generous donations. Many gardeners have been given new window panes from Abbey Glass. Chris Hicks, of Derby City Council's environmental services dept was full of praise for the plot holders and the people who have supported them.
